The diver down flag runs right through our range: the Diver Down and Diver Down Flag prints, Diver Down Waves, Diver Down Shark and the retro Old Diver Flag polo. Wear it in the water on a long-sleeve rash guard with built-in UV protection, or topside on a hoodie, cap or joggers.

What the diver down flag means
A red flag with a white diagonal stripe tells boats that divers are in the water nearby, so they should slow down and keep clear. It's the standard recreational dive flag in the United States and Canada and is recognised by divers around the world. Boats with divers down may also fly the blue-and-white Alpha flag, the international signal for "I have a diver down; keep well clear at slow speed."
Flag rules vary by place
Many US states have laws on when divers must show a flag, how big it must be and how far boats have to stay away from it, and the distances differ from state to state. Other countries set their own rules. Check the local regulations before a shore dive, and surface close to your flag or float.
